Rebelution Yoga + Wellness is where science meets spirit and sustainability is the methodology. Heather Sky is the founder and principal yoga therapist, offering trauma-informed, LGBTQIA2S+ affirming, and nature-rooted yoga and eco-wellness practices through private sessions, small groups, online programs, and immersive retreats.
Rooted in the Pacific Northwest—on the ancestral lands of the S’Klallam people—Heather tends her forest-based eco-retreat as both teacher and steward. Her Native heritage and respect for Indigenous ways of knowing shape the foundation of her work, reminding her that wellness begins with right relationship: to land, lineage, nervous system, and community.
Heather came to this work through lived experience—trauma, lack of belonging, and a dark night of the soul—and learned to listen more closely to her body than to the stories she had been living inside. That listening now informs her approach to wellness, nervous system regulation, and nature-based practice. Her work exists in the realm where science meets spirit.
Blending biomechanics and functional movement with mindfulness, nature-centered, and transpersonal approaches, Heather helps people reconnect to their bodies, the earth, and one another. Drawing from both Eastern and Western philosophies, her work honors ancient wisdom while integrating modern science to make yoga accessible, intelligent, trauma-informed, and transformative.
With thousands of hours of teaching and practice experience, and as a current Master’s student in Ecopsychology at Naropa University, Heather continues to explore how personal and planetary well-being intertwine. Through her online offerings and in-person retreats, she invites students from around the world—especially those in the Queer + Trans community, trauma recovery, and eco-wellness spaces—to slow down, breathe deeply, and remember that balance is a practice, not a destination.
WelcOMe to the Rebelution.
