Both deserve to be recognized.
At the Threshold is a one-day rite of passage created to honor this season with intention, presence, and care.
Set among the forests of the Olympic Peninsula, we’ll spend the day slowing down through nature, movement, reflection, Council, and ceremony. Together, we’ll honor what has been, acknowledge what is changing, and intentionally mark the beginning of what comes next.
This isn’t about holding on to childhood.
It isn’t about rushing adulthood.
It’s about making space for a moment that deserves to matter.
What to expect:
-Gentle movement and grounding practices
-Time on the land for meaningful reflection
-Council practice, where mothers and daughters are invited to speak and listen from the heart, and cultivate better communication skills.
-A threshold crossing ritual and blessing
-A symbolic severance ceremony honoring what is complete
-A closing ceremony designed to complete the rite of passage before returning to everyday life
-Guided journaling and letter writing
-A nourishing shared meal in community
While the milestones may belong to the daughter, the threshold belongs to both of you.
Throughout the day, mothers and daughters will each be invited to speak honestly about what they’re excited for, what they’re grieving, what they’re afraid of, and what they’re hoping for. Through Council, reflection, and ceremony, you’ll have the opportunity to witness one another in a way that everyday life rarely allows.
This isn’t about finding the right words or fixing difficult emotions. It’s about being fully seen as you each step into a new chapter—and discovering that you’re not crossing it alone.
You’ll leave with meaningful keepsakes, written reflections, and a deeper understanding of yourselves, each other, and the relationship you’re carrying forward.
